A refined Boutique hotel with a striking and fully renovated aesthetic
In the center of Cagliari, the Carlo Felice Boutique Hotel comes back to life thanks to an ambitious renovation and interior design project led by Studio Mei & Pilia Associati, Italian excellence in architecture and interior design, who restored luster to an ancient, abandoned building. The design approach focused on the centrality of the client, and the resulting outcome is the fruit of intense dialogue and exchange of ideas: the desire to create a modern hotel that nevertheless embodies the lines of the past. Hence the choice of exposed bleached wood beams with strong aesthetic value and stone walls capable of telling a long and fascinating story. The exterior facade was completely renovated and restored following meticulous architectural, urban design, and interior design planning by Dr. Eng. Gianluca Pilia and his firm, who, backed by twenty years of industry experience, transformed the Carlo Felice Boutique Hotel into a building with a striking aesthetic that integrates seamlessly into Cagliari’s urban landscape. The 11 rooms and the suite feature elegant white furnishings with touches of brown and warm, enveloping earthy nuances for textiles and decor accessories. The beds embody contemporary essentiality in their lines, paired with the comfort of a tufted headboard, helping to create a charming and relaxing atmosphere. Every space was curated down to the finest detail, from the selection of all materials and flooring to furnishings, lighting, and accessories. The furnishings dialogue harmoniously with the spaces, sharing with them a philosophy rooted in “Tailor Made” design; particular attention was paid to using refined raw materials and entirely Made in Italy craftsmanship. This design approach of continuous search for style and bespoke solutions lies at the core of Studio Mei & Pilia Associati’s work, aligning with the signature modus operandi that has always distinguished us.
