Gruppo 5 and Studio Mei & Pilia Associati sign another collaboration with Nautilus in Cagliari

The partnership between Gruppo 5 and the design firm Mei & Pilia Associati, Italian excellence in architecture and interior design, continues—this time bringing to life the 3rd property of Hotel Nautilus on the Cagliari seafront.

“A striking building, architecture with a proudly Italian hallmark,” is how Dr. Eng. Gianluca Pilia envisioned and designed it.

This new property joins the two existing ones, also designed by Studio Mei & Pilia, overlooking Poetto Beach in the vibrant city of Cagliari. Three structures united by a rationalist style, characterized by a skillful interplay of volumes that creates distinct spaces seamlessly integrating into the landscape through materials and colors typical of Mediterranean architecture. A project conceived with tailored care by Dr. Eng. Gianluca Pilia and his firm, who, backed by twenty years of experience, created a hospitality structure worthy of its surroundings, contemporary in style and amenities, and adaptable to guests’ needs. Nautilus features various room types, spacious and equipped with every comfort, with large sea-view porthole windows that maintain a constant connection with the surrounding landscape while dialoguing with the interiors in a nautical style reinterpreted in a modern key. A sophisticated minimalism characterizes every space, custom-designed to create elegant, bright, comfortable settings with strong aesthetic value: every material, finish, and decor accessory was chosen and curated down to the finest detail, such as the iconic repeating white and blue stripe pattern, evoking the maritime world and its charm. The true centerpiece of every room, the floating bed with a bold contemporary character invites guests to indulge in peaceful sleep and dream of being lulled by ocean waves: a triumph of style and pure design.
