The elegance of Italian interior design for a luxury New York apartment
Its privileged location on the 52nd floor gives this residence a magnificent view of the New York skyline, which the owner loves and expressly requested be taken into account in our interior design project.
Precisely for this reason, architect Giovanni Smiderle sought to make optimal use of every available space, distributing the furnishing elements in such a way as not to obstruct the view of the splendid panorama.
“The client’s request was to create a furnishing style that was sober, elegant, and modern,” the designer recounts. “I designed an intimate and cozy space for them that allows them to enjoy the view of the city.”
The kitchen is spacious and functional, but almost disappears from view through a play of volumes and black & white tones that blend well with the light design characterizing the table and chairs.
The large rugs were carefully selected to harmonize with the planed walnut flooring, also curated by Gruppo 5.
The combination of large white sofas with modern swivel armchairs was the ideal solution to define a conversation area without cluttering the view. The lighting fixtures, chosen from top Italian design brands, give a touch of luxury to every room, from the bedrooms to the living area.
