A restyling project born over time that grew alongside the client’s trust. The Hotel Garnì Selene, overlooking the scenery of Malcesine, embarked on a journey of gradual renovation that, starting with just a few rooms, evolved into a complete intervention across the entire property.
A work of continuity and design coherence, where every space is rethought to offer a welcoming, contemporary, and recognizable experience, maintaining a balanced equilibrium between elegance, functionality, and identity.
CLIENT REQUIREMENTS
The restyling of Hotel Garnì Selene, in Malcesine, was born from a collaboration consolidated over time. An initial intervention on a few rooms laid the foundation for a design dialogue that, thanks to the client’s satisfaction, evolved into a complete renovation of the entire property. The objective was to redefine the hotel’s identity through a coherent, elegant, and contemporary language, capable of accompanying guests through all spaces with continuity and recognizability.
SPACE PLANNING & CONCEPT DESIGN
The common thread of the project is represented by vertical lines, expressed in particular through the fluted wooden elements, the true protagonists of the space. A graphic and tactile sign that punctuates the volumes, gives rhythm to the environments, and becomes a defining identity element of the hotel.
The color palette is understated and bright, built on neutral and natural shades, animated by touches of more intense color that emerge in the furnishings, fabrics, and decorative details, always maintaining a measured balance.

RECEPTION DESK & COUNTER FIT-OUT
The reception becomes a clear and recognizable welcoming space, where the desk and the fluted walls immediately introduce the language of the project.
The breakfast room and the TV lounge are conceived as convivial and relaxing environments, characterized by enveloping furnishings, green accents, and a balanced composition of solids and voids. The vertical lines return as an element of continuity, dialoguing with smooth surfaces and softer materials.
BREAKFAST ROOM & TV LOUNGE
The breakfast room is structured around a double parallel buffet counter in a glossy white finish—a choice strategically designed to optimize guest flows and amplify brightness. In the dining area, central-leg tables facilitate movement, while vertical slatted screens and an integrated planter visually separate the space without blocking the light.
Beyond the greenery filter, the TV lounge is transformed into an intimate and enveloping sitting room. In this space, a macro-vegetal wallpaper and large, backlit circular mirrors warm the atmosphere, while armchairs and poufs with fluid shapes in shades of green and orange ensure absolute comfort with a fresh and contemporary taste.
